City Net deploys case management staff into the streets of our communities and local emergency shelters to serve our homeless neighbors in their journey to secure housing and other services. Staff, often in tandem with law enforcement, visit public areas like flood control channels, parks, and business where encampments are set up.
Need
Provide immediate nourishment and a critical bridge of trust for our neighbors living on the street! For individuals and families experiencing homelessness, a small, nutrient-dense snack provides a quick moment of physical relief. More importantly, these portable snack packs serve as essential "icebreakers" for mobile outreach teams, allowing them to open conversations, build trust, and ultimately guide vulnerable individuals toward stable, permanent housing options.

This is a wonderful, highly flexible project that individuals, families, or small groups can easily complete together at home. You can shop for and assemble as many or as few packs as your schedule and budget allow!
Estimated Cost: Approx. $10 – $25 per bundle of kits (Based on local Southern California grocery and warehouse store pricing for bulk snack boxes).
Creative Touch: We highly encourage you to include a small note of care or encouragement inside each pack to remind these families that they are valued and not forgotten.
