Fristers (Friends + Sisters) is dedicated to helping teen/young parents build healthy and stable lives and families through educational classes and workshops, mentoring, case management, and the support of a caring community. Fristers knows that pregnant/parenting teens and their kids are a vulnerable population at risk of dropping out of school, child abuse/neglect, mental illness, etc. Fristers offers multiples solutions--a community of support, referrals and resources to complete high school, introduction to college and vocational training, life skills and workforce readiness to guide young parents toward economic security and healthy relationships and parenting training to create a thriving family environment.

Help care for babies or engage toddlers in fun, hands-on activities that help them learn, grow, and thrive. Children are being raised by teen or young parents.

Make a difference in the life of a young child by volunteering with Fristers’ children’s program! While young parents participate in our programs, volunteers can assist our staff and help provide a safe, nurturing environment for their children—caring for babies or helping toddlers learn and grow through play, hands-on activities, and positive interaction. Whether you’re cuddling an infant, reading a story, playing with a toddler, or encouraging a child as they learn a new skill, your time and attention help children feel cared for while supporting their healthy development.

Next you will be connected with the partner to confirm your serving date and given instructions for training and LiveScan which is required prior to serving. Location: Mariners Church in Anaheim.
