Partner Description

Higher Ground has a mission of expanding purpose, possibilities, and hope for youth and families living in under-resourced communities. To prepare for lifelong learning, resilience, and socio-economic stability, they focus programs and services on social-emotional learning by surrounding youth with caring and competent mentors and by providing a space for youth to develop into healthy and successful adults. Parent programs rely on the community's expressed needs --healthy communication, parenting skills, workforce development and positive resources that enhance the family unit. Higher Ground also aims to address immediate needs of families through its food pantry, basic needs pantry, and completely free mental health services.
Need
Help tend to plants, water and weed Higher Ground's garden beds to keep their campus looking beautiful and bless students/families with fruit.
More Details
We need Volunteers who can help us keep our campus beautiful for our kids and families. We have been blessed with having a variety of different fruit trees, vegetable gardens, and beautiful flowers across our campus, but maintaining them can often be overwhelming and we lack the staffing to do so. Having incredible Volunteers come in to help us take care of our campus once a week would be amazing.
Next Steps
Days are flexible but need to be planned in advance and need to take place Monday-Friday 8am- 2pm. After signing up here you'll be connected to the partner to set up a day and time.
